Original Paintings - Seascapes

My motivation to paint seascapes comes from my love of West Clare. I adore observing the play of colour, light and energy on a scene. Developing a new painting makes me feel energetic. I use many layers of oil paint to build up colour, mood and atmosphere. Water movement has always fascinated me. I love how oils can create a 3d effect to accentuate the power of the ocean and cause a mysterious and ethereal atmosphere.
