I have always loved animals and grew up with dogs, horses and cows around me. I believe it’s all in the eyes!
The soul of an animal can be seen and felt through their eyes and I hope that the viewer connects with this emotion through my paintings.
Using oils helps me to create depth of tones, hues and textures in their coats. I enjoy incorporating some of my flowers into my paintings, as a daisycrown, chain or an animal holding a piece of vegetation or flower in his/her mouth.
